Abstract
|
|
|
Plasma renin activity in 43 patients with chronic renal failure ranged subnormal to excessively elevated values.
The plasma renin activity was significantly higher in patients with uncontrollable hypertension than in normotensive patients with hypertension treatable with mild to moderate antihypertensive drugs. There was no correlation between plasma renin activity and serum Na, 24 hour urine Na, retinal artery changes.
